Aurelius appeared between the two wolves, causing Finn to give pause as it seemed only to dawn on him the fact that other people were even present, having only been able to focus in on the man he was sure was responsible for his existence. It was like the sight of a hawk able to see only the field mouse skittering through its view. Its prey, the very thing it yearned to destroy.
"I need t'flay the skin frehm this piece of shite's body," Finn's voice still hardly his own as he loomed over his father struggling in the clutches of the Bear, clearly not having counted on any fellow werefolk being about.
"Look who brought the guns to a fist fight," the older wolf gave a slight snicker, though he looked overall concerned by Aur's domineering stature. Unsure which of the two men towering above posed the greater threat. The calm but massive warrior with the eyes like stone or the wild looking Wolf who hungered for blood without abandon.
"Didn't know you'd made friends among your own kind. From what I've heard you aren't exactly...receiving, of the gift I left you," sniffing at the air between himself and Aurelius, "Bear...interesting."
"Gift?" A knife emerged from the small sheath inside Finn's belt, "I'll gouge an eye from that damn smug face a'yers!"
A soft but stern, "Finneas," calling out from the doorway of his mother's room. The woman standing there, clutching at the door frame to keep herself standing.
"Mum-" Finn nearly choked on the word, shocked and suddenly ashamed to be behaving so violently with his sick mom so near. And she'd seen it. The animal in him that scared her so.
She was barely able to stand on her own, shaky and with her blanket hanging from her shoulders. The blade clattered to the floor as the young Pirate moved to catch his Mother just as she began toppling towards the floor.
"Brigid!" The man claiming to be Finn's father shouted, real panic and concern for the woman written on his features, struggling to free himself from the King's grasp to see to the woman as well. Finn's eyes were brimming with a head spinning level of confusion, looking to find that strength in Aur's eyes he always felt when near that warrior of his.
"Aur-" Finn's voice broke, crackling with sheer panic. He couldn't think, his mother looked like a ghost already. Her breathing ragged and even Finn could smell the omen on the air. The sickness inside his mother.
