ALEXANDRA GIANNA BLACKWELL
Name: Alexandra Gianna Blackwell
Nickname/Alias: Alexa, Ally, Gianna
Age: 19
Gender: Female
Sexual Orientation: Hetrosexual
Race: Witch
Rank: Nobility
Play-by: Rachel Hilbert
Personality: Several words can be used to describe this girl, ethereal, beautiful, transfixing but that is just the outside source looking in, upon meeting the girl you will find she is not only stubborn and hard-headed but outspoken and blunt. Her opinions will be heard and they will be loud but what more can you expect from a Nobel girl who has always strived to be the very best? Alexandra is a force to be reckoned with, an enigmatic creation that will stop at nothing to achieve her desires. She had been knocked down upon many occasions but she will never stop getting back up because that is who she is. On the surface she appears confident and strong but that is not to say she lack insecurities. Faced with an unapproachable Mother, Alex strives to be accepted, often searching for this approval in the wrong places and meeting the wrong people. This has lead her astray, her naivety and desire to be integrated casting her into the hands of those who perhaps do not have her best interests in mind. Has she learned from these instances? Not exactly.
Alexandra, Ally, Alex, Gianna, whatever you want to call her, has a strong desire to perfect her craft. She wants to be the best version of herself and even at the tender age of 19 she is still practicing and aiming to impress those around her and ultimately herself. There is a strong desire for approval within her, to be revered and yes, perhaps even feared. That being said her path is still barely been trodden and she must continue in order to achieve her goals. It may take some time but Alex is willing to do whatever it takes, willing to sacrifice whatever it is she has to sacrifice to garner the right kinds of attention, to protect that person she has become.
Fiercely loyal, Alex is, and protective as well. She will stand up for what she believes in ten-fold and for those who are not able to stand up for themselves. It is herself she looks after first though, so do not be fooled by the honeyed words she speaks, or the soft sentences that spill from her pretty mouth. Protection and loyalty are of course at the top of her list of moral scruples however she must look out for number one, she is perhaps the most important person she knows.
The girl can hold her own, she isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty and throw a punch but standing at a meek 5”3 she isn’t much to be afraid of either. She is often underestimated and she will use this to her advantage if the situation calls for it. She can be sweet and kind, she can be flirty and relatable but that is perhaps a front for the true feelings that lie beneath her beautiful mask. She is cunning and she will say whatever it is she needs to say to get what she wants, that much one should be aware of when dealing with her. Realize that although her words are soft and gentle she may be plotting something else entirely.
She is quick witted and fast to jump on a response, whether it be good or bad, one can take it or leave it if they desire.
History: Alex is mostly tight-lipped when it comes to her past. She has had challenges and successes all throughout but she mostly keeps to herself on the subject. Her walls are high and made of concrete and she will nary let a soul inside unless they become very close to her. For context however her mother was a callous being, hard to garner respect from, easy to piss off. One could bet that these traits had affected the girl negatively, even going so far as to say that is why she is the way she is. The affections were limited, the compliments even less so, leaving Alex with something to prove, a statement to make. There is a constant need to impress those around her because of the woman and there is little more to the scenario than that. Her Father however was kinder, although not around as often as she would have liked. His hands were gentle and his words kind but his absence in her life left a hole in her heart and Alex works to fill that hole with whatever she can find.
In her childhood days she was inquisitive and astute, ever-watching, ever-learning and it was because of this that she learned many things about the house she wished would have remained a secret. It was one such occasion that she was perusing the home, her girlish figure sleuthing around the halls. She would hide behind the furniture as the the handmaids came down the hall, her security detail calling her name in the distance as she slunk away from them, in search of something, anything to entertain the girl. Every rebellious she was, sneaking away from her room and her studies. The immaculately dressed hall housed the girl well, her fancy garb that her mother forced her to wear being caught by the edges of the wooden seats, the heavy iron braziers that lit the room. She moved with ease, delicate upon the balls of her feet as she danced toward the rooms at the end of the hall. Grace filled the entirety of the girls soul, flowing all around the witch and her tiny body. With ease she found the door and gently pushed it open.
The sounds of others flooded into her ears, words that at first made no sense. She remained however, pressed her tiny frame against the door and listening from the other side.
“Please...you don’t understand the weight of this situation.” Alex’s ears perked at the sound of her Father, Darius, his fluid voice erupting into the air but his soft vocals were not strong like she was used to but instead desperate.
“Minerva can never know about our union.” What was she hearing? What had she stumbled into.
Alex’s name was called down the hallway, a guard who was tired of her games and needed her back in her room now or else their would be consequences. She was about to leave, for all intent and purposes, she was about to turn away and do as she was told but an invisible string tied her to the door and beckoned her forward. The heavy weight of the wood pressed against her palm and she opened the door and feast her eyes upon her Father who’s lips were locked with her tutor, Seren. Their frames were pressed heavily against one another, Seren’s porcelain skin backdropped by the sun, her Father’s eyes closed, his hands lost inside locks of white hair.
Alex blinked, her entire being swept away from her in the moment, the weight of realization came crashing down upon her, forcing her to the ground and dragging her to the pits of the earth. She turned, loping as fast as she could from the room and back down the hall, passing the handmaidens and guards who beckoned for her attention. She was moments away from her room, seconds from the solace that it provided when he Mother stepped out in front of her.
“Alex...you ruined your dress...” the words she was speaking were suddenly caught inside her throat as she looked down at the face of her little girl. Tears had began to form in her eyes, droplets of confusion, of betrayal. The woman leaned down toward her, matching her eye level and softening her features, a rare occurrence in the eyes of Alexandra.
“What’s wrong, my dear?” Minerva’s inquiry was soft and delicate and perhaps that was what made her shy away from it. It was such an unnatural tone to hear from her own Mother that the second the sounds even touched her ears she crumbled her face and pulled away.
“Nothing!” Alex spat the words, inking them with as much malice as the young girl could conjure.
“Please...” Minerva began but Alex would not allow her to speak again.
“No! Nothing is wrong. Leave me alone!” The childish words tumbled from her mouth before she could stop them and the look of betrayal upon her Mother’s face would be etched into her brain for the remainder of her life. It was however a necessity for from where Alex stood her Father had done nothing wrong. He could do no wrong, he wouldn’t...couldn’t and as for Seren...what could she say? His character was that of his own and if Minerva thought anything else was likely to happen then well...she wasn’t very smart now was she?
It was from then on the strain grew upon their relationship, Minerva knowing that Alex was hiding something from her and Alex harbouring a secret from both her Mother and her Father all while she grew up. She told nary a soul, not even her brother and other sister but Alex suspected that Seren knew that she spied them that day all those years ago...he must...he had too...
