Personality:
How many do I need to list here? LOL
Personality 1: The most likable guy you will ever meet. He would do anything for someone that was in need, even give you the shirt off his back if necessary. However, this personality has been long buried and hardly ever sees the light of day unless there is something of value that needs to be procured.
Personality 2: This is the main personality you will see most often. He is a strict captain of his own ship and has rules that must be followed. Those who break the ship rules, are dealt with in a swift manor, even if one thinks his punishments are too harsh or even life threatening at times. However, with great loyalty, comes great reward. Gabe is not one to be unfair or cheat his fellow sailors with dishonesty unless they absolutely deserve it. All treasures found, stolen, or acquired are fairly split so long as you earned your fair share.
Personality 3: This is the inner voice inside the man or in this case the Demon. This is the trouble maker the one who everyone tries to avoid as much as possible. This is one reason why no one goes out of their way to piss Gabe off and mostly out of fear than respect. This is the side of Gabe that handles situations that can get a little "rough around the edges" or that isn't too afraid to get his hands "Dirty", whether it be gutting someone from belly to sternum or simply jumping in to a pile of manure to get away from local officials and prevent capture. This is Gabe's back bone. It has no shame, no remorse, no regret for anything.
Personality 4: This is perhaps the third least personality to make its appearance unless the pirate is horny as hell or just wants some action. However, this personality makes more of an appearance when not aboard the ship. This is the more suave and charming side of Gabe that comes out when he desires a woman that appeals to him.
NOTE: Each personality is clearly different than the other like night and day. They can change at the stop of a dime or in a split a second. He can literally be cutting someone's throat wide open, see a woman and pretend like he didn't just gut someone 3 seconds ago.
History: Born to a scribe of the King, Gabriel had a good life growing up in luxury and royalty. His mother was a hand maiden to the the Queen's Daughters and they lived outside the Royal walls. When Gabriel was just a boy, they would pass the Blacksmith every day on his way to school, eventually taking on the apprenticeship and learning the trade rather than following in his father's footsteps. However, his father didn't completely agree to this without the exception that Gabriel would stay true to his studies and follow his own dream after school. This included how to read and write different languages and do arithmetic along with learning their local history and even extending it into world history as he advanced. Foster followed his dream during the evenings learning everything he needed to know in making the finest blades and using the perfect steel. In the process, he also learned how to use them. This was his life up till his eighteenth birthday.
On his Eighteenth birthday, everything went wrong. During a break in, several men raided their home, stealing everything of value and killing his mother, father, and his older sister in the process. Gabe only escaped this fate because he wasn't home for the celebration his family prepared for him. Instead, he was out with his friends having a grand ole time and didn't come home till late that evening. Being in the drunken state he was in, he didn't even realize at first the forced entry into the house or the missing trinkets and valuable items missing. It wasn't until he seen the blood on the stairs leading up to the bedrooms that he became infuriated and scared at the same time. When he finally reached the top of the steps and entered the rooms, he seen the horror in front of his eyes. Being ashamed for not being there for his family, he ran and never returned. He stowed away on the first ship out of port and got off at the first port it stopped at. This is where his life would continue to change and not for the better.
He had no money, no job, or even any clothes to change into. He had nothing and knew he needed to earn his way going forward. With his skills as a blacksmith, he thought he could get a job easily but it turned out all the positions were filled in such a small port. The only thing he had left to choose from was on the ships. He started off as a deck hand, cleaning decks, barges, and fixing masts and sails. It didn't nearly pay enough, but it gave him a place to sleep and food to eat with the occasional change of clothes. It wasn't much more than a week that he found out the Captain of the ship was a female and it wasn't much more than a week more that he figured out they were pirates as well. He spent nearly a year on this vessel before he and the Captain began seeing one another on a daily basis. She treated him as her own personal boy toy, but he was falling in love. After several months, he professed his love to her and was rejected as if he didn't matter. It didn't matter how many times he went to see her and tried to convince her, she just kept pushing him farther away until finally she had him shackled and thrown off the ship at the first port they reached.
Foster was heartbroken and alone again, not caring much for the world he was living in but in the process of going back to his captain to apologize and ask forgiveness, he was rudely kidnapped and brought aboard another ship called the Black Dutchess which was owned by the Black Dutch Society. Captain Lucian Baines was a ruthless Captain that made Blackbeard look like an angel. Foster was branded with the initials BDS showing all that he was the property and slave of Baines and the horrific and massive 100 gun ship. Foster no longer had a bed, clean clothes, or even the proper food in his belly as he once had and after several weeks, it showed. Every night, he was beaten and whipped for no reason at all except to teach him to fear the crew. He spent almost a decade on the Black Dutchess, barely surviving and with hardly any food to give him the energy he needed to do his duties, but with hard work and loyalty to his master, he finally gained enough trust to become the ship's cook. After months of cooking for the crew and learning their ins and outs, he was able to devise a plan with the rest of the Slaves to gain their freedom. All it took was one successful port raid and a celebration to poison most of the crew and finish off the rest that didn't want to stand with Foster. With the remaining slaves and Crew, they manned the ship to an island called Dagger's Point but not without cost. Half the slaves died from disease and malnourishment and Foster nearly lost his life to a single bullet of a pistol during the battle for the ship.
Over the course of a decade on Baines ship, Foster lost his mind and could be declared insane. This only got worse when he "came back from the dead". Lead by Cydd Briggs, he and the crew guided the ship to safety to Dagger's Point while Foster laid in the Captains quarters trying not to bleed to death and laden with fever. At one point, They even tried to take off his leg by amputation but Foster denied them that pleasure, stating he would rather die than lose a limb. What the rest of the crew didn't know, is that's exactly what happened. What seemed like an eternity was only mere minutes that he stopped breathing and bled out but in those mere minutes is what changed Foster for good. Making a pact with the devil himself is what brought him back to life, giving him abilities that he never knew were possible. Through many future battles he realized he could not die. His wounds healed themselves in seconds and hours and he could manipulate fire as long as their was a flame already present. However, as this was good for him, it was not good for the crew. If they knew or were to find out, they would stop following him and would most likely flee in fear, calling him what he truly was, a Demon.
For the next 6 years, with a redesigned ship called the Mephistopheles, Captain Foster and his crew now sail the sea, making a name for themselves and taking what they want.
