H A P P Y D E A T H D A Y
It may of taken a couple of decades, a very large bribe and some unspeakable acts Seren shall blot from his memory, but aha. The day has come where he has within his possession the very day that Lord Sabal had first joined the world of the unliving and like hell is Seren going to let it pass quietly any longer. No no, dear vladdy. An excuse to party is an excuse to party, so suck it up. Of course he is a bit dismayed to realize that Basil already knew said day... or that he could of just as easily asked the vampire lord himself for the date. (Seren is pretty deep in denial of his easily distracted he is okay) . Basil agrees that something special should be done for her father, though, and so their interests align. At long last: sugar and spice, the most perfect couple are united. While Basil handles a guest list (so Seren doesn't go overboard) and menu , Seren's got decorations and the entertainment. But then comes the issue: what do you give a lord who has everything he could ever want? Seren has a sudden spark of inspiration. One that Basil may not particularly like. Basil is going to perform a song for everyone,, and Seren will do all he can to prepare her for it (offer a duet if she gets stage fright). It may take a deal of planning, but certainly it will not be a night Lord Sabal soon forgets!

Seren would so be a party planner in another life omfg. The decorations may be a bit overboard: he's got a knack for glamor after all (his gift is in giving the vampires an illusion of daylight for a single night) so even if it's a smaller event it'll look fabulous. Poor Basil will inevitable find herself dressed up here as well- she's his dress up doll, sorry.

Now I have no idea if Basil can or cannot sing, but it'd be such a cute gift to toss this little ray of sunshine incarnate onstage to serenade her daddy dearest. <3 Lemme know your thoughts!

D A Y L I G H T D R E A M E R S
Nights are what Seren knows best. The faerie has taken up nocturnal habits in the past, with what his career entailed, however now that he's trying to stop turning tricks and considering becoming a full fledged bard, he's looking for something to do to occupy his days. Sunshine streaming overheard, it's natural that he's drawn into the forests, the closer he can get the nature the more comfortable he becomes. While out one bright, sunny day he finds himself... lonely. It is a passing thought that he might go seek out a client of his, really he just wants a day of peace for a change. The idea to bring both Asher and Basil on a picnic is so lovely he isn't able to resist. Leaving little room for argument, he arranges the pair to meet him deep within the forest of Cerate forest for a picnic.

This is a group thread idea, just FYI! I can change Asher into another character, he's just the only other person that Seren has met lmao. And I knowwww that this is pretty lame but it's hard to resist cute, fluff ideas with both of the preciouses- Basil and Asher involved (don't hate). Seren is also a vegetarian so yeah, he's gonna latch on the other veggie. They can share recipes and tease Asher (or whoever he gets swapped with) on his meaty indulgences. Fair warning: Seren will be making flower crowns and there can be no arguing- it's happening, suck it up, keep it on or he'll sulk.

The mere mental image fills him with utter revulsion. The sheer audacity, the injustice...! This sin cannot be forgiven. That mental image of Basil dressed in loose trousers and a ill-fitting tunic makes Seren feel himself nearly grow ill. It is not a question: he will remedy this atrocity whether she wishes it or not. Even if he must rush off to vladdy and tell on Basil for such an unpleasing outfit. Which he can and will. Fashion is inevitable. Although the faerie is all happy smiles and playful eyes as he carts Basil across the marketplace in a massive shopping spree to dazzle her wardrobe.

SHOPPING. Need I say more? And yeah, sorry Basil darling- he so would tell on her for being dressed that way. It's a crime against fashion- there is no excusing her lovely self dressing like some commoner.

B A K E D W I T H L O V E
There are a handful of hobbies that Seren has taken up. Normally he's gone to garden, sew or dance, but he's learned that cooking is a quick way to please a man. It helps that he's got a little... special connection on the streets. His chocolate tarts are definitely to die for and the secret ingredient is... secret for a reason. Seren decides that he'll bring two dozen over the the Sabal estate for Basil, as he'd doubtful that she'll of had this particular kind of treat before.

~~don't tell vladdy about the special tarts please~~ x'D Yes, I'm sure you can guess what he adds to make them special. And for sure she'd be warned what was in them beforehand! ~~no peer pressure~~ Seren doesn't really see this kind of special ingredient as bad, he's a creature of nature so if it comes from the earth it's all good. No idea on if this would even effect Basil or not, ngl, but even if it didn't chocolate tarts still sound delicious.

B A D M O O N R I S I N G
Lord Sabal must be put into check- he's only growing in power and becoming a dangerous threat, one his enemies know will eventually ascend to high to defeat. It is only in recent times that there is such a viable weakness to the vampire lord: in the form of his half-human daughter. It is all because of a law. The court seeks to enact a regulation that requires all members in active service to release the nature of what race they are. No longer may vampires, werfolk or demons serve Atelus without disclosing their true nature to the nobles, kings and queens that reign over them. There are pros to this- it will ensure that all these races receive special assistance in what they require in living with these abilities/curses, and their identities are relatively safe in the hands of the nobles. However it would also hurt those that wished to keep themselves secret, whether because they had families that might disapprove what they are or due to the fact that they would likely be treated different for a fact of life they could not control.

Lord Sabal is, obviously, the loudest voice opposed to this restriction. It would be the beginning to requiring all citizens to reveal their natures, the start of a unnecessary segregation of the races. The interests of some of the nobles are clearly in support of the purism on the "human" races; witches, elementals, humans, those that are born and not made. Those that conspire to have this regulation enacted device a terrible plan to silence Lord Sabal: the kidnapping of his daughter. Under the safety of sunlight, they manage to capture Basil and secret her away, employing the use of Lady Blackwood's very secretive trafficking ring buried within the mines of Sunama to cart the girl out of the reach of even her father's many eyes and ears across Atelus.

Okay, pretty much any part of this can change! So this is basically the "make a puppet out of Lord Sabal / vampires go cray cray / Basil kidnapping" idea we sorta vaguely discussed on Discord, only with my initial ideas on how to refine it? So I am thinking that this will be a larger deal- like probably group threads in parts, because it will take a bit of planning to get all of this done. So Seren knows about the trafficking ring and is a rare male faerie, so he could easily arrange to have himself sold into the ring to try and find her- heck or convince Asher to help, as witch/faerie hybrids also seem rare? Really would love your thoughts on any of this! I do hate to torment precious little Basil but ohmygawd could this get fun <3
