Karina definitely wished her father was still around. Though she had a decent understanding of her gift, she knew that there was probably more she could do. She had never met another earth elemental, though she was sure they were around. It would have been nice to have her father be able to shore her more than he had.
She nodded at the condolences, having heard them before of course. And she did believe in the Gods, so she did believe that he was in a better place.
Hopefully.
Karina smiled when he spoke of her gift, the plant powers and the like. She nodded softly, thinking about what he said. It was true, that his gift was at least continuing on and helping people. She carried him with her, always.
As she filled the containers, she grinned at Finn again.
"You have been a lot of help, Finn. I promise. And I'm happy to help as well." If he needed calming, she would be there. She was happy to have someone to talk to, even if she was calming him as well.
She finished filling the bottles, emptying out the cauldron, and then setting them back in the basket.
"The shelves will be much better off, thanks to you." She smiled at him.
The girl had so much strength to her. It was a fact unmissable in the way she carried herself. Finn had said it before and he'd say it again, there was an unmistakable beauty in the eyes of someone who'd found their purpose in life. That drive and determination that burned in their eyes and brought them to life with a fire the likes of which Finneas had never witnessed anywhere else save for in those eyes fueled by a knowing. A knowing that what they were doing was right. Their lot in life was right. If he were an artist himself rather than a purveyor of arts he might've wished to paint such an expression.
"Happy to have been!" He piped up when she confirmed he had helped in any way, hopping from his lackadaisical state to give another much more curt rendition of a bow, flashing a toothy grin as he did as much. "Who knows. Maybe I'll shirk my life of Piracy and crime and become a store-hand yet," he chuckled, shaking his head, "Ah, but alas, the Sea. She is my mistress. I could not abandon her even if I wanted to." A wistful and dreamy sigh with his head turned towards the direction he knew the Ocean to be in. He could almost hear her entrancing call now. Might it be best to let this dear girl carry on about her business uninterrupted by the vocal and sociable Pirate clouding her midst. "If yeh got a handle on things," not that he ever thought she didn't, mind you, "Perhaps it's time for me to take my leave of you, m'lady. And your magical little shop of helpful wonders and miracles." What an experience to be welcomed as a part of though. Another reason he could never notbe a Pirate. You may always be on the wrong side of the law, but oh how the world lay bared before you with all its experiences and wonders. He aimed to see every last one.

A soft laugh came from Karina as Finn spoke of the sea, nodding her head slightly. She definitely understood passion, the passion that she had for helping people and her potions was mirrored in Finn's desire for the sea.
"I understand. I couldn't walk away from this either." She smiled at him.
When he spoke of leaving, it finally hit her just how tired she was. She was exhausted.
She nodded hear head slowly after a moment. "I suppose it would be for the best. I need sleep. Especially if the shop is going to be as busy as it was today!" She laughed softly again. She reached into the basket and took out two of the bottles, holding them out to Finn.
"Payment for your services!" She wanted him to have them, to protect himself and his crew. Though she would never condone what he did, she was glad to help people out, no matter what. And for him to have a couple, she would know he was better off.
Sleep was probably a smart idea, though he had not intention of retiring just yet, perhaps he could get a round of dice going down at Calypso's. His first mate, Emry, had a gambling problem after all. Always fun times to be had in clearing out his partner in crime's pockets. "I'd wish you a profitable day, but in your general profession I suppose that equates to wishing ill will on the good folk of Taras," a lopsided smirk gracing his face, "So perhaps I'll just wish yeh a good day of helping those in need." Tipping his hat to the fine healer of Atelus, raising the brim to be met with the offer of a payment far greater than the services paid for. His eyes went wide as he looked from the vials to the woman holding them then back to the potions once more. Tentatively he took them from her, clearly hesitant in the fact that she was so forthcoming with that kindness of hers. This world could be an uphill battle all the day long and Finn had always thought himself on the "okay" side of the good guy / bad guy line, but Karina? Pure good. A rare sight, indeed. "This is more than my fair share." He raised the bottle in a gesture akin to a cheers, "Thank you, your Ladyship, Mistress of the Earth," a slight nod of his head given to push the point.
There was a salute that passed through the air between them as Finn bid the fantastical woman of Healing a farewell. "Twas a pleasure to be of any service, Karina, Chérie," a flamboyant final bow like a showman closing the stage after a theatrical production and he spun on his heel to take his leave, stowing the precious vials, he could never thank her enough for, in his coat. Perhaps he'd find a way to repay her somehow, sometime.

Karina nodded when Finn spoke, definitely aware of what it was like when it was busy. She didn't like people sick either, but she knew that she would always be there to help them.
She smiled at Finn's hesitation to take the bottles, but she was glad when he finally did. She would have insisted, that was true, she couldn't let him leave without at least a little something. And really, it wasn't that much work to make. She wanted him healthy, and maybe his crew as well.
"Good bye, and good luck." She smiled and watched as he left, locking the door behind him. She set to putting the items out on the shelves, before getting some much needed rest.
