Aurelius understood the meaning behind her touch, and he respected the silent command with a knowing sneer, taking a step back from his companion's wintry form to eye the man that had come bursting through the door. So this was the child killer?
The Bear's gaze flicked to the floor at the sound of the necklace clicking against the wood, his ears burning with the words that were being exchanged. A gale of frigid wind brought his attention back to the thug and his ally, the chill that lingered throwing him back in time to that snowy hilltop. All else following began to blend with the memory - the demonic form wrenching itself from the woman's skin, the otherworldly voice blending with hers. The evidence of struggle in the snow.
What the hell was this creature?
Whatever she was, they were comrades, and Aur felt his legs propel him forward and around to get to the other two thugs that had drawn their blades in the attempt to defend their leader. The charging animal made quick work of them, running straight into their blades, suffering a few wounds, but besting them with his brutish strength and speed. He could feel that he was less man and more bear during the bout, coasting off of the transcendental energy created by the demoness.
